Bill McGee selected The National Museum of the Pacific War (formerly The Admiral Nimitz Museum) in Fredericksburg, Texas as the repository for his research and writing files. The archival collection represents two decades of research and writing materials used for Bill’s four books on World War II military history in the Pacific.
Sandra McGee launched Reno Reporter, a blog devoted to the 1930s-1960s Reno divorce era.
Acclaimed documentary filmmakers John Cork and Lisa van Eyssen launched the preview trailer for Reno and the Romance of Divorce, (trailer link) a feature-length documentary that tells the remarkable true story of how a small town in Nevada redefined divorce in America. Cork and van Eyssen will write/direct/produce (Cloverland). Sandra and Bill are consultants on the project. The San Francisco Film Society is the Fiscal Sponsor and KNPB Reno (PBS) is the Sponsoring Broadcaster.
We wish you and yours a Happy 2012 . . . and sign off with two of our favorite sayings.
Bill: “See you soon, god willin’ and the creek don’t rise.” (Montana cowboy speak)
Sandra: “I may be wrong, but I just don’t see it.” (Eleanor Lambert, publicist and American fashion icon)
